As one of the mandatory respondents, the Company explains the relevant information of the U.S. Department of Commerce preliminary anti-dumping determination as follows:
Motech’s products to the U.S. will be levied a 44.18% anti-dumping duty and our subsidiary Motech (Suzhou) Renewable Energy Co.LTD., will be levied 42.33%. The Company has always intended to develop new markets and customer bases to diversify the risk of single market. The AD duty with retrospective effect still needs to be identified till the final determination. Therefore, there is no significant impact on Company’s financial operations.
In 2013 and 1H2014, revenues attributed by the US customers were NTD2.27 billion and NTD0.27 billion respectively, about 10.6% and 2.4% of total consolidated revenues.
The investigation procedure is still ongoing and the Company will fully cooperate with investigation and provide relative information and explanations to strive for fair and reasonable final determination while the U.S. conducts an on-site verification in Taiwan.
