Water is an important resource that can supply human activities and balance ecology. Almost all human activities require fresh water. As unstable freshwater supplement from global climate change and increasing water stress from growing population, water management has become a global issue.
In order to use water efficiently to lower fresh water demand, Motech reuse water directly in manufacturing and recycling waste and rain water for other facilities, furthermore implement water saving measures.
Water Conservation and Recycling
Motech saves water with the following measures:
• Application of manufactured water reuse facility for lower fresh water demand
• Recycling manufactured waste water for ultrapure water system, wet scrubber, cooling tower and other facilities
• Reuse rain water for plant irrigation, wet scrubber, cooling tower and other facilities
• Reuse condensed water from cooling tower for facilities
• Installation of self-recycle function for wet scrubber
• Use water saving faucets and toilets in fabrication facilities
In 2010, Motech saved 51.7 tons of waste water and 2.5 tons of rain water, equal to 241 times the volume of a standard swimming pool.
Note : A standard swimming pool is 50x25x1.8 cubic meters and contains up to 2,250 tons of water.
