Green product means environmentally friendly product. Motech has been
producing products by green manufacturing as well as following regulations and
strategies related to global environmental issues. Since 2009, Motech has
been collaborating with an educational institution to analyze the environmental
impacts associated with a product's life cycle through an approach known as Life
Cycle Assessment (LCA). Results are then used as a basis for drawing up impact
reduction plans. Furthermore, Motech strives to make packaging greener by
compatible designs and environmentally friendly material usage to lower
environmental impacts while keeping the same safety standards.
Motech conducts Product Carbon Footprint Assessments according to international
standards. In August 2010, Motech conducted carbon footprint verification on its
mainstream IM156 multi-crystalline solar cell in compliance with international
specification PAS2050 and received accreditation for the results by SGS.
When Motech makes a product, we consider reducing environmental impact throughout the product's life cycle. For example, we utilize low impact raw material, save energy and material in manufacturing, reduce waste output, make sure the product produces low pollution while in use, and recycle end-of-life products.
Since 2009, Motech has been collaborating with an educational institution to quantify the environmental impacts associated with a product's life cycle through an approach known as Life Cycle Assessment. This approach assesses the whole life cycle from material extraction, to product manufacturing, to product use, to end-of-life treatment. Results are then used as a basis for drawing up reduction plans.
